Alex bocchino has spent the past 16 years working in summit’s public schools, teaching instrumental music, middle and high school band, directing the summit high school percussion. Through the efforts of a district music parent and alex bocchino, director of shs big band, summit music students were treated to a zoom meeting with world class and world famous violinist, midori! She was a source of great inspiration to our students and provided a lens into the unique life of a performing artist and her distinct path and reinforced the importance of musical connections, especially in this time.
